Sourced directly from the Mahila Umang Women’s FPO in the serene hills of Uttarakhand.
Umang is a community-owned enterprise by small-scale women farmers, committed to promoting ecology, equity, and fair trade economics for hill farmers.
Founder Ruchi Jain of Taru Naturals has been instrumental in conducting natural farming training for the Umang women farmers, helping them thrive sustainably.

How to Cook:
Corn Flour Veggie Paratha
Ingredients:
1 cup Taru Corn Flour
Grated carrots
Finely chopped green chilies
Taru Cumin seeds
Taru Turmeric Powder
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Water
Taru Desi Cow Ghee (for cooking)
Instructions:
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, combine 1 cup Taru Corn Flour, grated carrots, finely chopped green chilies, Taru Cumin seeds, Taru Turmeric Powder, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and salt to taste.
Add water: Gradually add water to the bowl and mix well.
Knead dough: Knead the mixture into a smooth dough.
Make parathas: Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a ball. Roll out each ball into a thin circle (paratha).
Cook parathas: Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Place a paratha in the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes or until it starts to puff up.
Add ghee: Brush Taru Desi Cow Ghee on the paratha and flip it over. Cook for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve: Serve hot with your favorite accompaniments! Corn Flour Veggie Paratha
