Millet Sweet Pongal

Ingredients

  • Kodo millet rice – 100 g
  • Little millet rice -100g
  • Barnyard millet rice -100g
  • Fox tail millet rice -100g
  • Green gram dhal – 200 g
  • Jaggery/sugar – 300 g
  • Cashew – 50 g
  • Raisins – 50 g
  • Ghee – as required
  • Cardamom – as required

Method

  • Boil water in a pressure cooker and dissolve jaggery in it.
  • Add millet rice, dhal and allow it to cook well.
  • Roast cashew nuts, cardamom and raisins in ghee and add to the cooked pongal.
  • Sweet pongal is ready to serve.
